BT was forced to permanently shut down TorrentSpy search engine



Beijing on March 30, according to foreign media reports, as involved in a costly legal battle against file-sharing service BitTorrent search engine TorrentSpy will be forced to close.

TorrentSpy said in a statement, the site shut down not because the court decision or settlement agreement, which is entirely the decision of the team. Over the past two years, TorrentSpy has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars to "safeguard the interests of users and their own" to resist the unfavorable legal environment for file sharing.

TorrentSpy management team, said: "Ultimately, we believe that the requirements of the court with our privacy policy, traditional court ruling, and contrary to international law. For this reason, we decided to take the ultimate measures to protect user privacy, that is permanently shut down Web sites."

TorrentSpy is designed to help users find the Internet to share files torrent search engine format.
