AMD release simulation software for virtual technology developers to taste

According to an official said, AMD, AMD plans to release this week, a local software, so software developers can be in their future Pacifica technology is integrated into the Opteron, Athlon 64 chips before, simulation of this technology.
AMD's commercial solutions strategist Margaret said, users can download on AMD's Web site called SimNow of Pacifica simulation software. She said that in the past, AMD hardware technology companies often come out in front to provide software simulation of large companies, but in order to get more manufacturers and software developers to support, AMD company will publicly release the SimNow.
Pacifica is expected to be integrated in the first half of 2006, AMD's chips. It can make use of PC and server virtualization technologies to create a computer in the real number of units with each other independent virtual computers, running different software. Margaret said, for example, users can create a virtual desktop or notebook computer running enterprise software, and create another virtual computer for personal purposes. If the user running the personal use of the computer downloaded the virus, it does not affect computers running enterprise applications. Or, a virtual machine can run Linux operating system, another virtual machine can run Windows operating system and application software.
Enterprise customers can use VMware software companies create and manage virtual machine. In order to improve the performance of virtualization technology, AMD, Intel, two companies plan to increase next year's chip technology designed to support virtual circuits.
SimNow will allow more software developers for their products and to test the compatibility of Pacifica, Pacifica chips to come out in support of timely release of software products to support this technology. Software developers can single-core Athlon 64 or dual-core Opteron chip to test their applications.
