ERP 2012, the Asia-Pacific market will reach 193 million U.S. dollars



According to market research firm recently released research report SpringboardResearch said the 2012 Asia Pacific software-based service (SaaS) of the ERP (enterprise resource planning) market to grow from 35 million U.S. dollars in 2008 to grow to 193 million U.S. dollars.

The research firm said the software-based services to ERP markets coupled with supply chain management (SCM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software market, the Asia Pacific region accounted for a total market share of 7%.

SpringboardResearch throughout the Asia-Pacific Region 530 chief information officers and IT decision makers found that software-based services for ERP tool has the potential to be suppressed demand. 35% of the potential buyers of software services have expressed interest in the next 12 months to buy software-based services to ERP.

The survey relates to the entire Asia Pacific region software services users. 20% of respondents said they are using software-based services to ERP.

Springboard Research senior market analyst BalakaBaruahAggarwal new software, said taking into account the Asia-Pacific region is the scene of ERP applications is relatively low penetration levels, especially in China and India and other growing markets, we expect this market will experience faster growth. Broadband network throughout the Asia Pacific region growing availability and reliability, as well as emerging markets throughout the Asia Pacific region will drive demand growth momentum.

The survey also found that software-based services to ERP penetration in the manufacturing sector is currently very high. China's software services Asia-Pacific region showed the highest level of ERP applications.

SpringboardResearch vice president for software research MichaelBarnes said that so far has been very popular ERP software services, in part because the software service model does not allow too much flexibility for customization. As enterprises continue to improve its product capabilities to customers, they have the opportunity to improve the application, especially for first-time use of ERP in the organization.

Limited number of well-known manufacturers

According to the report, said the well-known large-scale ERP software services companies in Asia, this small number and lack of market demand for powerful and sophisticated solutions and restricted the Asia-Pacific software as a service ERP market growth.

Netsuite is the only one of the Asia-Pacific region-wide ERP software service provider in Australia and ASEAN have a strong market share and is the expansion of India's high growth market.

Other major demand ERP provider based mainly domestic suppliers such as India's market-leading company Ramco. Kingdee local Chinese ERP vendors have begun to increase in the demand model and supply chain accounting specific modules and eventually will provide a full-featured software-based services to ERP software packages.

Springboard said that many in the United States ERP software services provider is currently exploring the potential of the Asia-Pacific market. However, applications and other software services, compared to more leading provider will come from local vendors.
