Wireless Internet access is becoming richer the family way is not the only choice



Authority of the research firm Gartner recently pointed out in the next four or five years, the current home networking approach may be broken.

Currently, the wireless LAN is the dominant way of home networking.However, Gartner pointed out that with IPTV and other entertainment services, the rise of the network, the emerging wired networking will gradually erode the current wireless local area network, such as HomePNA, HomePlug, and MOCA.

Gartner said that in the next five years, HomePNA, HomePlug, and MOCA and other wired networking will rapidly spread.With easy to use, high-bandwidth features, more and more service providers will promote the network.

Supporters say the transfer home wireless local area network-intensive content, IPTV, stability is not high.Currently, AT & T is planning to provide users with HomePNA networks, and Verizon also will provide users with MOCA device.

Gartner believes that this new network in the coming years will be rapid spread.Coaxial cable used by cable television, for example, this year the proportion of home networking is expected to only 7% to 12% in 2011.In addition, the use of power lines will continue to increase the proportion, while the Wi-Fi will remain unchanged state.
