SAP acquisition of BO lead user product support for concern



SAP has and the Business Objects (BO) signed a final agreement, will invest 6.8 billion acquisition of the latter. This raises some concerns about BO users, they are afraid it is led and product support to decrease emphasis on reducing product development. Analysts highlighted, SAP must address both the problem of overlapping product lines.

" Rothman said: "Otherwise, as the BO's core users, I do not think there is any significant acquisition."

Kansas City, an enterprise architect Erik Brokaw expressed optimism on the acquisition, but still called for SAP "for business intelligence solutions to provide the same level today with BO support services." The agency also uses a variety of BO Business Intelligence tools.

BO Bernard Liautaud, chairman and founder, said the acquisition is completed, BO is still "independent business."

Market research firm AMR Research analyst John Hagerty said the acquisition comes two companies to expand when the performance management product line. "Both sides need to make some concessions, in order to look more complementary acquisitions."
