Microsoft and SAP to develop medical software



According to foreign media reports, Microsoft and SAP, both companies will market the medical industry Duet software, the software integrates with Microsoft desktop and back-office SAP business applications.

Monday, held in Orlando, Florida Medical and Management Systems Society conference, Microsoft and SAP announced a new software company co-promotion agreement.

Duet integrates Microsoft's Office productivity software and the future of manufacturing SAP enterprise resource management program (ERP), these applications can handle the procurement, inventory, budget management and other management processes.

The two companies said, Duet software can be customized to the needs of the medical industry. Medical industry with thin profit margins, tight budgets and high administrative costs known.

With Microsoft Office and Windows operating system trying to keep the company outside of product diversification, companies are turning to the medical industry, this relatively new field, but is not optimistic about the medical industry, Microsoft is one company. Just last week, Google started testing online health record service. The service enables patients and clinics in the exchange of their medical information, including prescriptions, medical conditions and allergies case. Patients have control over, may decide who see their own medical information.
