July 25, Intel and China Ministry of Information Industry in Santa Clara, California signed a "jointly promote China's rural, urban, business and logistics, and information memorandum of cooperation," Intel will use in the memorandum of cooperation within a period of 3 million dollar resources to support China in the promotion of rural information and other aspects of building information.
Gou Zhongwen, Vice Minister of Ministry of Information Industry, said the information industry to promote new rural construction, in 2006 one of the key Ministry of Information Industry. Development of agriculture and rural information, promoting a new building complex and difficult in rural areas, need to Ministry of Information Industry and other ministries, local governments and enterprises of the full participation of all parties concerned.
This reached a memorandum of cooperation will focus on two areas: promoting the construction of rural information and promotion of information technology solutions, industry applications. Information construction in rural areas, Intel will be established with the Ministry of Information sustainable development of rural industry chain, to find information to adapt to the promotion of rural mode, and the establishment of a sound integrated information service system in rural areas; in the promotion of information solutions industry applications, Intel will work with Ministry of Information Industry jointly set up information technology solutions to verify the laboratory, set up various information technology solutions lab environment to test and promote a variety of information technology solutions.
In specific forms of cooperation, the Intel will feature China's rural areas with the Ministry of Information Industry and the demand for the establishment of the joint information platform in China R & D center, dedicated solutions for research and development and information terminals. Intel also cope with regional pilot demonstration projects in rural information and assistance on the training of rural informatization work: with the support of Ministry of Information Industry in charge of local leadership and grassroots training of personnel information, which will greatly promote the information technology in place executives and the popularity of rural grassroots cadres.
